Replacement Parts & Accessories

VacMotion stocks large quantities of spare parts for inline strainers including replacement bowls, gaskets, screens and mounting brackets. Screens are available in 20, 50, 80, 100 and 250 mesh (also 10 and 15 micron). Standard screen materials are 304 stainless steel mesh, Polypropylene mesh and porous Polyethylene.

WIRE MESH SPECIFICATIONS

Mesh Terms

Mesh: Number of wires per linear inch measured from center of wire to center of wire.

Wire Diameter: Normally referred to in decimal parts of an inch, a determining factor in the mesh count.

Opening: The dimension between parallel adjacent wires, usually in decimal parts of an inch or microns.

Open Area: The percentage of opening of a given mesh utilizing a given wire diameter.

Inches to microns:
Inches × 25,400 = microns

Micron to inches:
Microns / 25,400 = inches
